Major Responsibilities
Managing, operating and provisioning high performance computing
and data storage systems for research and development by NASA scientists
and engineers. Dr. Webster has an extensive background in the acquisition,
management and strategic planning for High Performance Computing in NASA
and the Department of Defense. He was co-chair of the Sub-Task on procurement
issues development and writing of the Federal Plan for High-End Computing
by the High End Computing Revitalization Task Force (HECRTF). The HECRTF
was directed by of the National Coordinating Office for Networking and
Information Technology Research Development of the National Science and
Technology Council. He is currently a member of the Steering Committee
for the HPC User Forum.
